There are a total of 2 types of elevator inspections for Maryland.

  • Annual Inspection – Required by DLLR to be performed once a year by a QEI certified inspector. We will perform the inspection along with your Elevator Maintenance company and your Life Safety company.
  • Final Acceptance Inspection – Required by DLLR to be performed before a unit is put into public service. We perform the inspection along with your Elevator Maintenance company and your Life Safety company.

There are a total of 4 inspections for Washington D.C.

  • Periodic Inspection – Required by DCRA to be performed once a year “Semi Annual,” in which we perform an inspection on the unit without any actual testing being done.
  • Category 1 Inspection – Required by DCRA to be performed once a year “Semi Annual,” in which we perform an inspection along with your elevator maintenance company and your Life Safety company, we will test all equipment connected to the unit.
  • 5 Year Full Load Inspection – Required by DCRA to be performed every 5 years on traction/electric elevators, we perform the inspection on the unit along with your elevator maintenance company and Life Safety company.
  • Final Acceptance Inspection – Required by DCRA to be performed before a unit is put into public service, we perform an inspection along with your elevator maintenance company and Life Safety company.
